Nobscot's Mission
Nobscot is a member squadron of the United States Power Squadrons (USPS) which is the world’s largest private non-profit boating organization with about 450 local Squadrons. Nobscot's mission is to mirror the national organization's mission to educate the boating public, provide a safe boating environment, support our local communities and sponsor social activities for our members. We offer The Boating Course to the general public which covers topics such as skipper’s responsibilities, boat terms and types, boat seaworthiness, marine radio use, charts and aids to navigation, course plotting and compass use, boat handling in adverse conditions, position determination, Coast Guard and state regulations, safety equipment, knots, and trailering.

Nobscot's Education
Our squadron offers more advanced courses in subjects like Seamanship, Piloting, Plotting and Position Finding, Engine Maintenance, Marine Electronics, Sailing and Cruise Planning. Experienced member instructors teach these courses

Nobscot's Safety
Meeting and talking with fellow members, who are skilled in boating often provides safety and money saving information. And our members perform annual free boat safety checks (Vessel Safety Checks) for boaters at Lake Cochituate State Park.

Nobscot's Social Activities
Our monthly dinner meetings include a speaker whose topic is normally related to boating or on-water activities. In addition, we have occasional field trips, an annual on-water rendezvous, a summer cruise, a fall squadron picnic and a Holiday Party.

Nobscot educational classes, meetings and activities are in Natick, Massachusetts and surrounding areas.
Nobscot Squadron is a member of USPS District Twelve.
